Mixson, Jr., Project Manager Jeffery Harvey, Project Manager Buddy Hiers, Safety Coordinator   WALLIE HIERS, PRESIDENT Mr. Hiers graduated in 1985 from Clemson University with a B.S. Degree in Building Science. Since joining the family business in 1986, Mr. Hiers has successfully managed all phases of commercial and industrial design-build, as well as competitive bid projects. As chief estimator and construction manager of our design-build team, he has provided a full range of construction management projects for corporate, new construction, healthcare facilities, retail projects, manufacturing plants, educational and institutional projects, custom-built homes, dry-cleaning facilities, and projects requiring extensive coordination with the M/E/P trades, owners, and design team. Mr. Hiers’ awards include the 1995 "Southern Home Award" for Preservation/Restoration. GREGG M. BRUNSON, VICE PRESIDENT Mr. Brunson graduated from The Citadel in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Brunson assumed the positions of project manager and safety coordinator in May of 1998. In 2000, he began estimating and project managing new commercial construction projects in their entirety. He has provided supervision on numerous commercial and residential projects including, secured facilities, educational, and government facilities. In 2004, Brunson Construction was presented with the “Architectural Design & Construction Award” for their efforts in the construction of the Edisto Beach Community Center / Elementary School. Mr. Brunson, project manager, was presented the award by the project architect, Liollio Architecture. HENRY C. BRUNSON, JR., TREASURER The transfer in leadership at Brunson Building Supply, Inc., in 1980 from father Henry C. Brunson, Sr. to eldest son Henry C. Brunson, Jr., retains the solid, fundamental qualities offered when the business was started in 1948. Mr. Brunson, as past president and now treasurer, oversees the corporation that includes Brunson Building Supply, Inc., Brunson Construction Co., Brunson Roofing, Brunson Pallet Company and Brunson Real Estate. Henry C. Brunson Jr. brings a wealth of knowledge with more than thirty-eight years of experience in the construction industry. FRED E. MIXSON JR., PROJECT MANAGER Mr. Mixson has more than twenty-seven years of experience, including project management for new construction, building renovations, hospitals, laboratory space, retail facilities and design-build projects. Mr. Mixson has successfully managed all phases of construction from the ground up for a variety of clients. His responsibilities include estimating, supervising, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. JEFFREY HARVEY, PROJECT MANAGER Mr. Harvey is a 1985 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned a degree in Building Construction Technology. Following graduation, he pursued a job that would allow him to put his education to use. Ever since, Mr. Harvey has been advancing in the construction industry. He has compiled an accomplished list of successful construction projects that span from South Carolina to Maryland. These projects include custom homes, restaurants, retail facilities, educational facilities, car dealerships and motels. Throughout the past twenty-one years, Mr. Harvey has developed his project management skills and is extremely proficient at managing subcontractors, tracking job progress, scheduling and estimating. In December of 2000, Mr. Harvey received a Certificate in Construction Estimating from Harvard Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. Mr. Harvey joined the Brunson Construction Team in August of 2004. Ever since, we have benefitted greatly by having him as one of our top project managers. BUDDY HIERS, SAFETY COORDINATOR Retired after forty years with the South Carolina Forestry Commission. Mr. Hiers served five years as Regional Program Manager, which included safety and training for thirteen counties. Mr. Hiers has completed sixteen hours of CEC with OSHA updates within the last year As safety coordinator, he has an important commitment to ensure that all of Brunson Construction Co. operations are performed in the safest manner possible.
